TERMS & CONDITIONS — ELEGANCE CAR DETAILING
These Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided by Elegance Car Detailing. By booking or engaging our services, you agree to the terms outlined below.
These terms are designed to ensure clarity, protect both parties, and allow us to deliver our services to the highest standard.
IMPORTANT NOTES
Please have all personal items and valuables removed from the vehicle before our technician arrives as we are not responsible for lost or damaged items.
We will not remove, move, or replace any type of child seat or restraint system. We ask that our customers remove child seats and booster seats before we arrive. Should a child seat be left in the vehicle, we will do our best to work around it but cannot promise total satisfaction.
MOBILE CALL OUT DISCLAIMER
For our mobile service, we come to you expecting to have the following:
- Space to perform our service
- Permission to be on premises if you are not the owner
- A safe location
- Safe conditions to service your vehicle
If we arrive and the previously mentioned conditions are not met, we reserve the right to reschedule the service at a later time and date that works for both parties.
TURN AROUND TIMES
Our service times are an estimate only. Each vehicle is different and may require more or less time to complete.
We will make every attempt to start or arrive within the scheduled time and will always notify you if we are running behind.
We reserve the right to alter or move a booking due to weather conditions, equipment failure, or any unforeseeable situation.
We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue any service if we deem the customer to be unreasonable or unsafe.
All bookings require address, contact details, email address, service type and vehicle condition verification. All bookings will require a deposit payment.
Elegance Car Detailing reserves the right to refuse service to anyone.
Elegance Car Detailing reserves the right to refuse or deny customer demands above and beyond the booked service.
You will always be treated with respect. Elegance Car Detailing will not tolerate any verbal or physical abuse towards any staff member under any circumstances and will take relevant action should any such behaviour be encountered.
Elegance Car Detailing reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions without prior notice.
PRICING & PAYMENT
Elegance Car Detailing reserves the right to charge each vehicle according to its condition and vehicle type.
We reserve the right to change our prices at any time without notice. Price changes will not be applied to existing confirmed bookings.
We reserve the right to charge extra for excessive sand and pet hair removal, excessive staining, and heavily soiled vehicles. If this is the case, we will discuss this with you prior to commencing our services.
To perform our work, we require your vehicle to be fully empty of personal belongings. Failure to do so will incur an additional charge of $20. Elegance Car Detailing cannot be held responsible for personal belongings left in the vehicle.
Our prices are inclusive of GST.
Payment methods accepted:
- Cash (please have the correct amount ready, as our technicians do not carry change)
- Credit card — Visa & Mastercard
Applicable surcharges:
- 0.88% on debit cards
- 0.88% on credit cards
- Online payments via Stripe: 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction (may change without notice and outside of our control)
All bookings require a deposit payment with the remaining balance due on the day of service.
Deposits are non-refundable. We understand that sometimes schedule adjustments are necessary and will transfer your deposit to a new appointment where reasonable notice is provided.
Paid invoices for accounting purposes will be issued to the customer via email once services have been completed and payment has cleared.
Elegance Car Detailing reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions without prior notice.
CANCELLATIONS & RESCHEDULING
Your booking is important to us. We understand that sometimes schedule adjustments are necessary. As a courtesy to all clients, we greatly appreciate advance notice of any cancellation or rescheduling.
- Standard bookings: 48 hours notice required
- Bookings made within 48 hours: 24 hours notice required
- Cancellations or rescheduling with less than 12 hours notice: 50% of the service cost will be charged
- Same-day cancellations or no-shows: full service cost will be charged
Our cancellation policy allows us to offer your time slot to waitlisted clients.
COMMUNICATION
Elegance Car Detailing will contact you via text message or email to confirm your service request, remind you of your appointment, provide your invoice and receipt, and acknowledge any cancellation or rescheduling.
WINDOW TINTING SERVICES
Film Warranty Our ceramic window films come with a lifetime warranty against defects including bubbling, peeling, cracking, colour change and delamination under normal use and care. Warranty claims must be submitted to Elegance Car Detailing with photos clearly showing the defect. The warranty does not cover damage caused by improper care, automatic car washes, sharp objects, or window mechanisms.
Cure Time Following installation, window film requires a drying and curing period before full adhesion is achieved. During this time, certain visual effects including slight water haze, minor distortion and small water pockets may be visible, and these are a normal part of the curing process and are not defects.
During the cure period:
- Do not wind your windows down
- Do not clean the interior surface of the film
Cure times vary depending on film type, thickness and climatic conditions. In Noosa's warm climate curing is generally faster, however high-performance ceramic films or during humid weather may require additional time. Please contact us if you have any questions about your specific film's cure time.
Visual inspection of the installation should be carried out in natural daylight, viewing at right angles to the glass from inside and outside the vehicle at a distance of approximately one metre. Inspection guidelines are in accordance with the International Window Film Association (IWFA) Automotive Visual Inspection Guideline for Applied Window Film (January 2020).
Legal VLT Compliance Window tinting in Queensland is subject to legal Visible Light Transmission (VLT) requirements:
- Front side windows: minimum 35% VLT
- Rear side and rear windows: minimum 20% VLT
- Windscreen: no tinting permitted below the AS/NZS line
It is the customer's responsibility to select a VLT level that complies with Queensland road rules. Elegance Car Detailing will advise on legal options and will not knowingly install film that breaches Queensland regulations. However, we accept no liability for any fines, defect notices or legal consequences arising from a customer's choice of VLT level, particularly where the customer has been advised of legal limits and proceeded with their preferred option.
Vehicles with existing factory privacy glass may have a lower base VLT. Customers should advise us of any existing tinting so we can ensure the final combined VLT remains within legal limits.
SERVICE GUARANTEE
If there is clear evidence that our technician did not fulfil the booked service or there is evidence of poor workmanship, we will at our cost redo the unsatisfactory portion of the service free of charge.
Any claims must be filed within 24 hours of service completion by phone or email, with supporting photos sent to: contact@elegancecardetailing.com.au
PRE-EXISTING DAMAGE
It is difficult to identify all pre-existing damage during the initial vehicle inspection. Some vehicles have interior components that are broken, scratched, worn, faded, or loose without the owner's knowledge. Should we find any such items, we will bring them to your attention. You agree not to hold Elegance Car Detailing responsible for any pre-existing damage to your vehicle.
Dirt can conceal swirl marks, scratches, dents, paint chips and fine lines. Should we find any exterior imperfections during our service, we will make you aware if possible. Elegance Car Detailing will not be responsible for correcting pre-existing areas of concern.
If our technician finds any scratches, dents, paint chips, fine lines or broken components during our service, we will photograph them with a timestamp to ensure our representative is not held liable.
PHOTO & VIDEO CONTENT
By engaging our services, you acknowledge and agree that we may capture photos and video footage of your vehicle before, during, and after the service.
This content may be used for purposes including but not limited to education, training, marketing, website content and advertising across our platforms, including Elegance Car Detailing and Fox Tail Clean websites, as well as our social media channels.
We take care to ensure that no personal or identifying information such as number plates, addresses or personal belongings is intentionally displayed without consent.
If you prefer your vehicle not to be featured, please let us know prior to your appointment and we will respectfully accommodate your request.

From time to time we may reference or link to third-party brands, manufacturers or suppliers such as product manufacturers used in our services. While we only work with trusted products and partners, we are not responsible for the content, claims or information provided on external websites. We recommend reviewing any third-party information directly with the supplier where required.
